I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I first posted about the Realm Guardians. I know I had a lot of people looking forward to them, and I have let them down. The only thing that I can say is that life has gotten in the way, and I am so very new at being an author. Although, can I really call myself that when I have yet to hit that oh so important Publish button?
I won’t bore you with details about my life, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want to hear them anyway. I will tell you that not only do I have the first Guardian’s novella outlined, but I have the next 3 outlined as well. I hope to have them out soon, but we shall see.
I will have a book out next month! I have so many story lines, characters, worlds, and ideas running around in my head. They only keep pilling up. Just in the last two months two more completely unrelated story ideas have popped into my head. They have both demanded their own time, and that time is now.
Normally when I sit down to write out a story, I work up a brief idea, then a very brief outline, then a more detailed outline, then I start fleshing out chapters, then I finally get the rough draft done. After that it’s a lot of going back over it all and working out things that just don’t quite fit or need a little bit of rewording.
These two new story ideas though, they have been oh so different from how I normally write. My only choice for them was to sit down at my laptop and start typing. One of the stories has stormed to the front and demanded it get written down RIGHT NOW. The other has kindly taken a back seat, but it’s also demanding it’s own time before I even pick up Guardian’s Grace again.
The really good news is that I should have the first Stand Alone Novella rough drafted and done by the end of the week. I already have a cover for it too! After working it over a couple of times and sending it off to an editor, I should be able to hit Publish on One Lion Night in Mid-September.
Night’s Alpha should be out a month later, maybe two. Then hopefully before Christmas I can bring Guardian’s Grace out into the world for it’s long overdue debut.
Hang in there with me, and I hope you won’t be disappointed.
